NEW YORK, August 10, 2012 – Air India has announced the resumption of service to Mumbai from Newark Airport starting August 16, 2012. The carrier will also resume non-stop service from JFK and Chicago to Delhi effective September 5, 2012.
The JFK and Chicago flights will continue to operate with one stop in Paris and Frankfurt, respectively, until September 4.
As in the past, flights from Newark to Mumbai will continue to Ahmedabad, JFK/Delhi flights will continue to Mumbai and Chicago/Delhi flights to Hyderabad. Connecting service is available via Air India at Delhi and Mumbai to cities across India.
Special Economy Class Sale Fares now available from Air India’s U.S. Gateways
Through November 26, travelers to India can take advantage of Air India’s Economy Class Sale Fares from JFK, Newark, and Chicago.
The round trip Sale Fares for departure through October 31, 2012 (including all taxes, airport and security fees, and fuel surcharges) are $1,257.18 from JFK to Delhi, $1,201.92 from Newark to Mumbai, and $1,318.58 from Chicago to Delhi.
The fares are $104.00 higher from November 1 to November 26. There is a weekend surcharge of $52.00 each way for Friday and Saturday departures and Saturday and Sunday return flights.
Sale Fare Tickets must be purchased by August 19. The minimum stay in India is the first Sunday, and the maximum stay is three (3) months. Seats at these special fares are limited, and may not be available on all flights. Cancellation and change fees, and other conditions and restrictions apply.
