Posted by David Ari in www.HolywoodRepublic.net In 1887 Alexander Tyler , a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: “A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.” Democracies always commit suicide. A democracy, in the throws of the destruction of a Republic, will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover the difference between self-interest and selfishness. From that moment on, the majority will always vote for the candidates who pander, promise and deliver the most benefits from the public treasury, The Federal Reserve, the Great, no collateral, Fiat Money Printing Press. Pelosi urges Obama to eliminate debt ceiling by Fiat

By Joel Gehrke – Washington Examiner Is this constitutional? House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., thinks that President Obama should unilaterally eliminate the debt ceiling, rather than negotiate with Congress to spend more money when the United States hits the debt ceiling later this year. “I would like to see the Constitution used to protect the country’s full faith and credit, as the Constitution does,” Pelosi told reporters Wednesday.
